I'd go with the Abit NF8 for $90 or the DFI Lanparty UT NF3 250 for $102. If you were thinking of doing any OC, then the DFI is THE way to go and has a great accessory pkg that comes with it. Just do yourself a favor and do NOT get a board with the nF3 150 chipset - the nF3 250 performs much better. You can get the NF8 and a 2800+ for $199 on Newegg - $211 for the DFI.

Not going to OC, so I will stick with MSI board w/amd 64 2800+ and keep the cost down.

Thats a lot of money for the case and PSU, considering your limited budget. I would rather throw some more money on a better GPU and more RAM, if indeed you plan on gaming.

No it is not. Any system you want a good case and the PSU is the foundation for a stable PC. The PSU is the last place to skimp.

This is not a gaming PC, but will have limited use on game. 512MB of ram should be suffice for Windows XP.

This case look fancy on the outside and seem to have a lot of airflow. I agree, it is better to have more than enough power on the PSU, then not enough.

it is better to have more than enough power on the PSU,
I'm not so sure about that. Psus are not exactly known for good power factor. The lower the % load, the worse the power factor. Now you can have a psu that dirties it's own power. RFI may become problematic as well.
Just speculation mind you, but it may not be a good idea to have a psu that runs below 50% of rated.
This would be especially true around hdtvs etc.
