Hi ,

I have a Athlon 1600+ processor working at 51o C ideally and at load at
58oC .

But increasing the FSB to 142 MHz it reads at 52oC and at load 54oC .

Well It shows at startup it is a Athlon 1800+.

Is it harmful to keep the FSB at 142Mhz .

And moreover I have left the Bank interleave at 4 (Crucial 256MB 2100 CLk 2.5) .
is it harmful for my memory.

I think unlocking the Multiplier is a very risky job???
Have a nice Day!!!!!!!!!

not harmfull, but I'd keep an eye on those temps, they are a little on the high side, what you have done is overclocked the cpu, with a better hsf you may well get more out of it.

If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?

You should know that running anything out of spec is potentially harmful, thats why your warrenty is voided by doing so.

Never have I seen so many great minds bent on such small a task.

Do you have any casefans, they help very good in lowering temps. I recommend atleast 2 casefans, one blowing in at the bottom front and one blowing out at the upper rear.

My case has so many fans that it hovers above the ground 😱 .
