So I've already got a PC that I built, but since I've got a job and some money saved up I was planning on upgrading a couple of things and had a couple of questions. Also, anything that I might need to know in advance would be nice. (Upgrading CPU from FX-8320 to i7-4790k and MB to something that will work) Getting the i7 instead of i5 because the i5 at my local microcenter is $239 whereas the i7 is $279.

Will I have to reinstall Win 10? If so will I need my product key from my upgrade? (Upgraded from win 8.1)
Will the items installed on my HDD still work? (Win 10 installed on Samsung 840 Evo)
What is a good and cheap CPU cooler that I might be able to get at my local microcenter (don't know what happened to intel mounting hardware for my water cooler)? (Something I can use my 2 Cougar fans with would be nice aswell or if you know somewhere I can get the mounting hardware)
Should I not plug in my HDD when installing Windows and then plug it in afterwards?
Any other tips and tricks?
Any other IMPORTANT information I might need to know?

This will be taking place within a week or 2 depending on the answers I receive.
Thanks to anyone and all who help.

Yes, you most likely may have to reinstall win 10, you most likely need a new window licence.
If you means items as images, videos and documents, they will work. if you mean application there a chance it might work or it might not.
You could try to contact the manufacturer for your cpu cooler and ask if they could send the intel mounting hardware.
You could leave the HDD unplugged whilst isntalling win 10.

I wasn't worried about pictures and videos, more along the lines of applications as well as games. (I know steam and origin will verify games upon having them check my drives).
