So... 2 weeks ago I had my motherboard and CPU fail. Actually it was one or the other but Asus and AMD told me to RMA the parts anyway. I had some extra money so opted to buy the I7 4790k with an Asrock Extreme 6 motherboard. I'm still waiting for the RMA's but will end up just boxing them up in the basement as back ups. So my new configuration will be:

I7 4790k
Asrock Extreme 6
Corsair H100i
Gskill Ares 1600 Mhz DDR3 (16GB)
Gigabyte GTX770 4GB Windforce 3x (SLI)
Gigabyte GTX770 4GB Windforce 3x (SLI)
Samsung 840 Pro SSD (256GB)
Seagate 1TB HDD
Corsair CX750M PSU

My question is:

My PC is full of AMD drivers and support software. Geek Squad offers $30 to completely wipe my hard drives So I can do a fresh instal of Windows 7 SP1.

Is that a good idea?
Will the AMD drivers conflict with the new Intel equipment?

My SSD is about 50% full of "I have know idea"
My HDD has all my games, movies, music, photos and misc. files on it and it is about 40-50% full. Most of my driver software is split between the 2 drives. I wasn't very observant as to where they were being saved 100% of the time.

I intend to same the important stuff on a flash drive or something but don't really care about the rest.

Do I even need to wipe the drives?

Solution
If you have all the software for your applications - do a fresh install and save $30. I always like the way a computer runs with a fresh OS.
