amd to intel switch. do i need to reinstall windows?

Hi, I am switching from amd to intel (fx 8320 to i5 6600k) and i was wondering if i need to reinstall windows. (windows 10 64bit)

My current board is asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 and the new board is ASRock Z170 Pro4S LGA 1151.
if i do need to reinstall windows will i lose any data?

Windows 10 will actually probably just work. On 8.1 or later yes you would have to reinstall. I have done many swaps from AMD to Intel on 10 and all of them have just worked.

Nope you can swap and are good to go, your data is saved on your hard drive or Ssd not motherboard and cpu
