I would like to build a new gaming rig. I am currently running a mid-level AMD system and would like to upgrade to a (easier to maintain) Intel system. Not looking to run BF4 or Crysis.

Current System:
AMD FX-4300
16GB G.Skill Sniper RAM
128GB G.Skill SSD
500GB WD VelociRaptor 10,000 RPM
AMD Radeon 7700 (Dual Dvi setup)
Win7 64bit
Cooler Master GTS V8 CPU Cooler
Cooler Master HAF XM

Only part of my old system changing over will be the CM cooler. I have a build in mind, but would like suggestions on it. My budget is between $1500-$1800.

Cooler Master HAF X (tower)
Asus Maximus VII Hero (Socket 1150)
Thermaltake Smart 'M' 850W
16GB G.Skill Trident X
240GB Kingston HyperX 3k (OS), 1TB WD VelociRaptor 10,000 RPM
XFX Double D R9 280 3GB
Intel Core i5-4690K
Cooler Master GTS V8 CPU Cooler
Win7 64bit

Any suggestions on tweaking the setup would be nice. Not looking for OC'ing just Mid-level gaming at decent frame rates.

Solution
Forget the i7. Stick with the i5 and get 8gb RAM not 16gb.

Get a proper quality 650w PSU tops. (Antec, XFX, Seasonic)

Use the saved money to upgrade to an r9 280x.

Ditch the Velociraptor. It is not faster in the real world than a normal 7200rpm drive. All marketing.
