Hello everyone!
Not sure does this right place for this question.
I plan a workstation build on AMD 3990x with some OC of CPU, so I plan to use TRX40 MB.
But i need to use more than 256GB ram, what most boards have supported (at least that manufacturers say).
There is 64GB ECC RAM modules on market (for exp. KSM32RD4/64MER from Kingstone) so theoretically with 8 ram slots on MB i can achieve 512GB.
But I can't find any info which approves this theory. So maybe someone has any info on this topic?
Or only way with more RAM is using SP3 socket motherboard and 8 channel memory controller?
But if I do so, can i install 3990x there and OC it?
Be grateful for any useful info guys
