AMD Turbo boost

Hey i have an AMD FX -4170 Bulldozer and i have been looking into AMD's turbo boost software to see if it had any real benefits to it and if it would significantly increase the performance of the chip while under load?

what turbo boost software are you talking about? turbo boost is a term use by Intel.
