AMD turion ii vs intel i7

Which is the better processor? want to replace my desk top with a laptop, is there something I should consider between these two processors?

The I7 is a much better processor if you can afford it. The turion is no slouch tho i would go for the I7 if you can afford it espicially if your useing it to replace a desktop the I7 would be your better choice.
