So I am shopping for a new GPU and thought I want to pair my OC R7 1700 with either Vega 56 or save a little and get the Vega 64.

Im primarily gaming on a 1080p 60hz monitor but I am going to upgrade to a 1440p 60hz monitor in the next several months.

The games Im mostly playing right now are BF1, Witcher 3, Assassins Creed Origins and Wolfenstien NC. Im playing them with a 1060 6gb but I wan to get a more powerful gpu due to going for 1440p monitor.

In Assassins Creed Series AMD usualy loses to Nvidia by a very small margin, but RX56 beat the GTX1070 in 80% of the recent games (old DX11 games it usualy loses). On Witcher3, BF1 and Wolf AMD beats Nvidia easily.
RX64 cost 25% more than RX56 and only performs around 10% better, not very recommended.
Custom models of RX56 will be on shelves very soon and probably on the right price, so wait a few more days and check benchmarks. Anyway, 1440p @60Hz will be easy for RX56 deal with.
save your funds wait for nvidia volta cards that are dropping in 2018. if the retail cards are as fast as there server side chips then your looking at 148 percent faster then there pascal gpu cards (1000 line). look at the 70/70ti line when it drops next rev of gpu.
