ElectrO_90 :
No one reviews "old hardware" and the FE is quite old now and wasn't made for gaming.
Dude, what is wrong with you? I use an example, and you make a statement as if i was asking that, the context actually had something to do with games? WHO GIVES A CRAP ABOUT GAMES!!!!!! I clearly stated "such as games and other stuff".
Humans are (to the best of my knowledge) most familiar with games so i used that as a subjective example for reference, within this specific context of reviewing/benchmarks since most reviews i have seen referenced the Veg FE in terms of "gaming performance".
do not go off on a tangent, in an attempt to warp the question into your own point of view by using the example of gaming, to distort the original question being asked.
I asked why there were no recent reviews, and since most reviews i have seen focused on "gaming performance" i decided to ask the question in relation to gaming performance. The numerous reviews i have seen also stated how there was a lack of optimization due to the HMB2 being a new architecture. and that is why in some use cases there was even a difference in fps output when playing specifically at 1440p. Which i noted in the original post.
I am wondering why there has been no NEW reviews since most claimed that the lackluster performance could possibly be due to to the lack of optimization. So would it not be reasonable to wait 6 months or so, and then REtest the Vega FE to see if there has been performance optimizations on the GPU driver update side and on the games being tested side?
GPU usually only release a new architecture/generation every 2 years or so, and since it has only been 6 months or so, i would hardly call it "old".
Note: If it is capable of running PONG, then it has gaming performance.
😉
Note: This is an example, however, i can use a brick to kill someone, however that does not mean the brick was "made to be a weapon". And yet? It can still be used as a weapon?? So therefore, just because it was not designed solely and/or mainly for playing games, does not mean it is incapable and/or unlikely to do so. In the context of the Vega FE itself, it has a Gaming Mode, which can be and in fact will definitely be used to "test"/play games, and so it can be used for playing games like any other "normal" GPU.
Oh, and the use/non-use of capitalization is not in recognition of loudness/speech. It is merely for greater emphasis on that which i deem important.
