SO I have currently set up 2 different builds, and would like some opinions on them.

The first build, is an Intel build, in whichj I am looking to have a great gaming PC< and also do streaming, and will perhaps be doing some video programing with Unreal 5. However A few concerns I have. One, is that the Intel build will not be very future proof, as compared to the AMD build.
ALso, I am stilkl not sure about this 4070ti. According to most all benchmarks, its holds up better than the 3080, but I have NEVER went under a 256 bit bus width. SO, wondeing if that will hold me back, and should I go with a differnt card that has the 256 bus, but will perform near the same range, and be in the same price range as well?

Now the AMD build I have, seems that it may not be quite up to the standard of the Intel build, as far as todays standard, But I was hoping to make a build more future proof with that. As far as possible upgrading the RAM/CPU and or video card in say 4 or 5 yearsw, as neccesary.

I again, have the same question as far as the nvidea 4070 ti and the bus width

PS: I will be gaming on a 27 inch 1440p monitors, with 144 MHZ speed. I have no intention of doing any 4k gaming any time soon. ANd I dont like to have monitor much larger than 27inch. 32 is even a bit too big for me, as I sit close to my monitor. ANyhow, thanks for nay help and suggestions!

AMD is offering future support moving forward on AM5 in a similar fashion as they did with AM4. If you got in on the "ground floor" of AM4 and followed along it was spectacular support and future upgradability. The issue that came out of it was that getting in on the tail end often resulted in the "no video output" woes of incompatibility/BIOS.

Intel is still doing tic/tok updates, so there are only two generations to a chipset that may or may not meet your future needs.

I went back to Intel and am currently using them almost exclusively, however if I were looking to spend the money right now, the aforementioned plusses would be hard to ignore.

"Retail" Windows on one.

"OEM" on the other.

What is the practical difference, considering how Microsoft enforces things in 2023?

400 on the Intel motherboard RAM combo.

525 on the AMD motherboard RAM combo.

May be some advantages or features worth the 125 difference?

The 4070 Ti 12GB is meant for gaming at 1440P. If you're looking for a card with 4K potential then that's not the card.

The Thermalright Assassin is a great cooler for the money but it has issues clearing the heatsinks on several motherboards.

Twice the case as the 205 yet for less money. This case was recently released and has been named case of the year on multiple review sites and for good reason.

In regards to the 4070 Ti 12GB. Best card for the money imo for gaming at 1440P.
