Hello,

I am trying to build a computer for under $850.

I am looking at CPU's, and intel is real expensive. The programs I use, like sculptris (soon to be zbrush) use CPU, rather than graphics cards. I think maya uses CPU for animation, and rendering, so I think a graphics card isn't that much of a concern, although I am looking at the nvidia geforce gtx 960 with 2gb of memory. I am deciding between the AMD FX-8350, or the intel i7-4770. I have been told to go with intel for my kind of work, but when I go with intel, I'm already at $500+ just with the processor and graphics card. I still need to buy windows 7 pro, and a case, motherboard, memory, hard drive, power supply, keyboard and mouse. I am using my cintiq 13hd as my monitor, and will buy another monitor eventually. So that means that I need an HDMI port in my motherboard, as well as a PCI 3.0 slot, which limits me when I go with an AMD processor.

I'm willing to go with intel, if its best, but will AMD do a great job too?

Thanks,
