AMD vs Intel

If I'm using an AMD GPU, and chose an AMD CPU will the two of these work together a lot better than pairing the AMD GPU with an Intel CPU, if so by how much? I only need answers to this question in particular, no biased answers please

I do not wish to know which CPU is better, I know what I'll be using it for


GPU: MSI AMD R9 390 8 Gb

AMD CPU: FX9590

Intel CPU: I5 4690K

Pairing an AMD GPU with an Intel CPU is no problem at all, and if the Intel processor is stronger than the AMD processor (which these days is usually the case), it's probably the better idea. I also highly recommend not getting the FX 9590. Hot, power hog, requires extreme cooling and extreme power supply. It's generally recommended against buying.

You can pair any graphics card with any processor . Brand is not an issue for compatibility .

Of your two choices then buy the intel . Its more powerful in most situations and it uses less power .
Just make sure its on a board with a Z97 chip set

Unless you are video editing or running VMs, just about the only cases where the FX-9590 beats the i5.
