I'm building a desktop that will be used for schoolwork, light gaming, and other everyday activities. I need to know weather to choose AMD or Intel. My budget is $530 (for the entire PC).
The current three processors that I have my eye on are the AMD FX 8350, the Intel Core i5 6500, and the Intel Core i5 6600.
If you need any other info, just ask!

Bear in mind that the 8350 does not have integrated graphics and will require you to get a dedicated GPU. You will see better perfomance in heavily multithreaded applications with the 8350, and see better performance in games with the intel processors. There is little difference between the 6600 and 6500, the 6600 being slightly faster.
