Amd vs intel

So I'm in the market to buy a new laptop. I'm down to the amd 9800p with r7 graphics vs and intel chip i5 or i7 skylake with the 520 or 530 graphics. I'm going to be doing light gaming like older games and some video editing.

I'd go with the i5 skylake over the AMD depending on pricing.

IF,,..,,IF you are not tasking it too much, AMD's are cheaper, pair it w/ an SSD vs HDD and it will be fine.

For heavy lifting (gaming, rendering, and true CPU intensive), I go Intel.

Is the gpu faster in the amd?

I thought I seen 2 benchmarks of the 9800p apu beating the i7 6500u in Dota 2 by 10 fps and beating it in editing/rendering by quite a bit. Just confused

Looks like it between the fx-9800p and the i5 kaby lake processor
