I got an ASUS GTX 1060 3gb will it go well if I choose Intel or AMD?

A 1060 3gb will work with both Intel and AMD systems.

Just make sure the motherboard has a PCIE slot and the PSU can power the card.

Depends what AMD and what games and what settings you want those games at. An old AMD say a FX8350 or low end intel chip like a dual core pentium with perform badly. A R5 2600 or a 9700K however will perform admirably. Personally would go r5 2600 and a B450 motherboard with 8/16GB (depends on budget) of 3000Mhz RAM. Corsair vengeance LPX seems to be good value.

As long as that ram is 2x8gb, that will work well.

Well it would have to be a B450 Max and the 3600 is around £60 more expensive which with a 1060 3GB I wouldn't really say it would be worth it

Define "well"
A balanced gamer will budget twice the cost of a graphics card for the cpu.
By that metric, look at something like a i5-9400f or a similarly priced ryzen processor.
