I've heard that Windows ME is specially designed for Intel processors. Is that correct and if it is, what kind of problems do you get when installing Windows ME on a computer with an (Duron) AMD processor.

I have an athlon classic 500 and i run windows ME and it runs fine. I haven't had any problems with it. Never crashed once. I would assume the duron would work fine also. I've never had a duron so i dont kno. I've even had Windows ME running on Cyrix processors and it works fine.

Im savin up for a Cobra!! Hehe!!

I've heard that installing any msft product with a duron, and logging in as a Netscape or Real Networks employee will cause the machine to self-detonate. The guys at underwriter labratories (UL) said they clocked an 8000 meter/second detonation rate, which is consistant with nuclear weapon grade detonators.

Scary......

ROTFLMAO!

I think I just threw a clot, I laughed so hard.

How about this...Windows is designed for x86 processors...

That includes both Intel and AMD

Which is x86, which (luckily) includes AMD.
