Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero Wifi and Ryzen 2700X Cpu.

So i'm trying to get the RGB changed on the stock Wraith Prism Cooler that came with the Ryzen 2700X.

I know that there is a RGB connector and a USB header connector (which I've plugged in and tried both on my motherboard) and then download the Coolermaster software to edit RGB. It does not connect to the software!!!! Says CM device not connected.

I have the correct cable everyone says to plug in the USB One and NOT the 4 pin RGB header one.

Anyone else have a solution to get this thing working. I do have the Asus Auras or whatever installed. Which it doesnt show up under because again I don't have the wraith prism RGB connected using the RGb header, i'm using the USB header connection.

Also i'm of course on windows 10 pro!

Negative. RGB header limits you to Asus software which limits you to not being able to edit ring lights and AMD logo from going in default rainbow mode at all times.

I've read only use and have the USB header plugged in (which I do and I've tried both USB headers, marked #17 in the Asus manual). Having only that plugged in let's you use Coolmasters software to change RGB.

The Asus one will work if I plugin the fans RBG head connector to the motherboard. But in only controls the middle light and not the rim and AMD logo (which by default always run in rainbow color change mode).

So supposedly that's why there's the USB connector that comes with it as well. Supposedly just plugging that in and using Coolmasters software it let's you change all the colors including the rim and logo. This I simply keep getting the no CM device detected error.
