AMD X2 4400+ with ECC RAM?

Hi there,

I have a customer who wants an Athlon X2 4400+ with an ASUS A8N-SLI Premium and Corsair 1GB ECC Reg DDR400 RAM (x2) to go with it.

He said someone said something about the X2 not being compatible with ECC RAM.

Does anyone here know for sure?

Yes, I Think i will go along with prozac26. I'm not sure about ECC RAM(error correcting code) with extra 8 Bits is used to correct the data passing through. But i think its a server motherboard RAM. and i'm pretty sure it does'nt support it. Or atleast not Officially

The motherboard definately supports ECC RAM as seen here:
