i have a Amd x4 750k with a msi fm2-a75ma-e35 and i plan on o.c via msi genie mode in the bios is that reliable or safe?. What paste and heat sink should i get? I plan on getting the hyper evo 212 and what paste should i get? i already have a Antec hcp 1200w 80 plus gold which is overkill... please help me with my 3 questions.

See how far you can get just by increasing the multiplier alone. That CPU gets good numbers on the multi alone. When it isn't stable with an hour of prime95 (watching temps), bump the voltage up a click at a time. But don't take it very high. That MB is not designed for heavy OC'ing. I've never had much luck with 'built-in' OC apps.

The 212 EVO is one of the best for the money. All you'll need if your case has decent air flow.

I like MX-4 for TIM. AS5 is also good but is electrically conductive if you are the sloppy type.

Yeah, that PSU is a bit over the top unless you run a whopper of a gfx card.

Yah 😀 i got the PSU for free i know its like complete overkill. Anyways, is there any good like video to give step by step directions... i'm only 14 but i have some decent knowledge of computers and how to build one.

If im correct, i should only put like a grain of rice of the paste on the cpu right??? Also, is there any good videos for a newbie overclocker? Thanks 😀 (p.s i got the PSU for free i don't think i could bear to spend that much money on a PSU)

It's a msi fm2-a75ma-e35 pretty cheap mobo D:

Videos on how to build a computer? Yeah, here's a 3 part series from Newegg:

The problem with a huge PSU like that, is that they are only efficient at high levels of output. It will work fine for a small system, but you will be wasting a lot of power that you wouldn't by using a PSU more in line with your system's requirements.
