I forgot the specs I needed to follow to run this processor. I remember when I bought it I had to get a special powered power supply which has pooped on me after a few years. I was using an Ultra 450W ATX power supply that i upgraded to back then. w/ a MAX Output current range of 28A on +5V, 18A on +3.3V, 24A on +12V, 0.6A on -12V, and 2.0A on +5VSB . Im upgrading to a 750W power supply now, so what exactly do I need to know again to run this correctly? I know this processor is the 45nm spec. Does the power supply need more than 28A running on the +5V rail? Is that the spec I should be concerned about?

Solution
Your CPU doesn't have any requirements that are considered special anymore. As long as you get a quality PSU with the appropriate connectors for your system, you shouldn't have a problem.
