News AMD X570S Motherboard Listings Suggest Impending Chipset Refresh

Those current motherboards with no active cooling are also $450+

I tend not to spend over $350 on motherboard unless its workstation build that requires ECC memory.

I am curious what this chipset is going to bring to the table.

Since AMD explicitly said Zen+ was the last generation to use the AM4 socket, it must be a more power-efficient x570. Considering the R&D money that went into making it more power-effiicient, I'm afraid it won't be any cheaper than B550. It would be a good alternative for people who want the capability of the x570 without having to worry about an irreplaceable fan failing.
