News AMD's 16-core 9950X3D chip allegedly lands 14% faster than last-gen in PassMark

That 32MB L3 cache figure for the 9950X3D is wrong. If those figures are pulled from the chip itself then something needs updating somewhere as it's only showing the cache for the non-3D chiplet.

If I was AMD, I would make a drastic move and switch to all CPU's having the same X3D architecture. And I would have no more than 6 versions. I would go two Ryzen 5 versions and the rest would be the two sevens and two nines. The architecure is efficient and superior to all options out there. Stick to that and keep improving on it.

The problem would be the price od tjose x3d versions. AMD could not compete on low price points if they would only make x3d chips!
That is why they will newer go there!
90% of future AMD CPUs have no 3d cache and small portion to richer people will have it. It just makes sense to not use it in every product!
