Yes you are missing something. It's not just a over clocked card, it's a binned card. You can see this by the lower TDP than the RX 7600 XT. So you're paying for better ASIC quality. Instead of you buying it from AIBs that specialize in binned parts, now you buy the binned cards from the manufacturer themselves.

Nvidia has been doing this for a while now. AMD's just catching up. The mistake that AMD made was calling it GRE instead of ti super. 😉 Since with 7900s the GRE is the bad part not the good part. Yet another missed opertunity by AMD's marketing team.
