They have no control over this. They do what they are told. I'm sure they want to release RoCm for RDNA4. I was under the impression they are delayingit to limit appeal to AI users so gamers would get priority.

What they should say is when RoCm is coming to RDNA4, to stop people moving away from RDNA4.

I think it is a positive thing for gamer. If these cards become good for AI, demand will be higher.

They are stuck with poor choices made back at the inception of rocm. I'm not sure how they can fix it without scrapping it all and starting over. There's a good writeup somewhere on Tom's on why it's so hard to implement on every new card.
