I want one of these, Super Threaded CPU's. 4 Cores/18 threads! SMT on overload :tearsofjoy:
I guess only two of the cores handle up to 6 extra threads a piece for 14 threads and two just hand a single extra thread a piece for 18 threads? AMD's big little confirmed? :LOL: I joke but IBM has its Power10 architecture that handles up to 30 cores and 240 threads, kind of nuts.

There have been some rumors of AMD working on a 4 thread per core instead of 2, so 4 core/16 thread, 6 core/24 thread. The rumors on that have faded due to the focus on Zen3 refresh(with 3D cache) and Zen4.

Yep, last i heard that wouldn't see the light of day until zen 5 or so. It will still be interesting to see how much if anything, each thread gives up in general throughput vs how much you gain by having more threads.
