To be fair PCIe 3.0 isn't bad for anything other than faster storage options of 4.0 and higher.

It's Zen 3 and PCI-e 3. But also right that it should come down in price further. PCI-e 3 probably not a problem if integrated graphics all you need.

When looking for real deals, can you start throwing in some mini PC's if there's spotted? I have my main rig, but would just like to hook up a small one for a HTPC.

The article explicitely cited owners of 2nd gen Ryzen as targets.

As such owner, my only interest would be for a discounted 5800X3D, because it's the best DDR4 CPU in the world, and for the additionnal performance in VR.
kinda same as how the i7 4770k was : best cpu on DDR3

Appart from VR, I never ever felt CPU-bound in any game or app since i have my 2700x
But 500$ for better VR is too expensive to justify for now.

amazon.ca ranks the 5800X3D as no1 product in the processor category. I guess my fellow canadian citizens are rich lol
