American movie about 16 year olds and treasure with Christian theme.

The movie was made in around 1980 (could be earlier). It had Christian themes/ethics without being overt. It was about a group of children, around 16, who found a clue to a treasure. There was a scene in a monastery where a monk was eating bread and cheese with one of the kids. At the end the treasure was found in a cave, but here was a landslide and the treasure and the villain were buried.
