I have not played America's Army but I have heard a little about it.
Is it multiplayer only? Are there at least bots? Hopefully yes,
because although I enjoy tactical shooters, I do not possess "1337
sk1lz".

Thank you.

Yes, it's online only. There are no known AI players for the game.

But don't worry - the game has a focus on tactics rather than "1337
5|<1|_|_z" because of its slower pace. In fact, there are reports that
players gained an advantage by minimizing their mouse sensitivity.

Multiplayer only and no bots.
They really have mismanaged the project right from the start.

Actually all the training sessions are single player. If you make it thru
all of them then you have effectively done a single player campaign.

You can play single player and put bots in it but i think it's mainly used
for practice. i've never tried it myself. You should check out the forums at
www.americasarmy.com all your questions can be answered there 😱)
