I'm giving AA a serious go. Main advantage is that there are less cheaters.
Other advantages are better teamwork - you can report your position,
Friendly fire is ALWAYS ON (disadvantage to some but ...), avoid Steam
hassels. Like CS and DoD the game grows on you. Main disadvantage is that
the rounds can be up to 10 minutes - so rushing can get boring as you sit
out till the end of the round.

Yeah, I tried it a while ago. I don't know about cheats, but the maps
were pretty large, rounds slower as you say. I thought the graphics
were awesome - the little things like the packs on your belt sway when
you run etc, the effects while in prone position and crawling placing
your gun across your arms like in the movies. Cool.

I accidently shot a teammate (couldn't tell the difference in uniforms
etc) and I got thrown in the 'brig' - a jail cell. I found that quite
funny. Not the accidental TK, but the jail cell.

Trouble for me too was the number of servers, or lack thereof, here in
Australia. Maybe more now.

I prefer Joint Operations, I could never get into AA
