I have a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P mother board with an AMI bios. When I click F2, F8, F9, or F12 nothing happens. I just cloned my HD to an SSD. Now I get “Inaccessible boot device.” I have been able to change some of the bios settings by hitting delete on boot. I have tried connecting only the SSD and only the HD. I changed the bios from UEFI and to IDE. I also removed the battery and reset the bios to default.
When I cloned windows 10 from a HD to an SSD the SSD tried to open Windows XP and then deleted about 2000 XP files. I believe that the Windows 10 was and upgrade from windows 7, and that was an upgrade from windows XP. None of this makes sense to me. I welcome any help.

Windows 10 from XP is NOT available. You will need a licence.

Windows 10 is only available till July 29 and you must do a clean install as there is no way to keep your personal files.
If you decide to upgrade, you should keep your Bios in EUFI with CSM enabled for compatibility.

The inaccessible device warning is probably due to Priority settings and configuration in Bios.
Check that the device is seen in Bios.

I said that the HD had Windows 10 that was upgraded from Windows 7 and that was upgraded from Windows XP. I had been using Windows 10 for several months. I was using Windows 10 to clone to my SSD.
