Hey there guys,

I have a Phonic's Digital PD-2610 amp (Mosfet w/ crossover 2CH 1000 watt) hooked up to a pair of 12" Memphis subs. The system worked perfectly until I had to replace my alternator, I decided, due to the sound system to get an alternator that had a higher amperage (149 amp) and ever since then, every few days (unable to say with certainty whether at high volumes or not) the amp goes into protect mode.

If I disconnect the amp for a while (about an hour or so?) it exits protect mode and works as if nothing was wrong. Note, it has never cut out while I was actively listening to music, but I'll get in my truck in the morning, and get no subwoofer.

I have connected the amp to my battery using schosche red power wire and I have meticulously checked my ground. There is no fuse between the amp and the alternator.

The remote wire is working, when I turn off the truck the blue light on the top of the amp is off.

tldr; amp used to work, now it doesn't after alternator swap. help?

Thank you so much for your time I look forward to your responses.
