Can someone at THG highlight the part of this post that describes a unique or interesting feature of this product that makes it worthy of a NEWS post, because I missed it.

kinggremlin, it's a very HIGH POWER access point. That's what sets it apart. I've tested 2 access points in addtion to amped's APs and they did not do so well. So yes, this is a big deal to people who have crappy coverage and don't want to change out a router (like those running a PFsense box or wired only router, or just wanna upgrade to 802.11ac.
