Question Amplifier problems

OK so i have an ARCAM ALPHA Amplifier and the left channel isnt working properly. The speaker plugged into the left channel is incredibly fuzzy, however it only gets fuzzy like 5 mins after the amp is turned on. I know its not the cable or the fuse.
Any help or should i take it to a specialist?

Well from googling its from 1995?
I can probably firstly the capacitors can go wrong.
It would be nice to take it to a specialist.

First test- swap Left and Right channel - does it make the same noise when the speaker changes.
As stated by RememberThe5th - if it is 1995, dry joints start to occur and also capacitors dry up. So I think he maybe on to something.

ok, yeah ive done all the tests, its something internal. Off to a specialist it is (or maybe im due an upgrade)

Does it click when powering up? if so something easy u can try, find this relay, shouldn't be hard, and tap it as it goes through the fussy stage and if u can hear it change, this relay needs replacing. Otherwise leave it to the Pros.

no, it will just go fuzzy, ill leave it to the pros
