I am going to buy a new power supply for my new pc. I was wondering how much amps does the athlon 64 3200 and 3400 need. and also how many amps do the powercolor 9600 need.

thanks

If by amps you mean wattage then get at least a good quality 350W powersupply (Antec, Fortron, etc.)

Drop the powercolor 9600 if you can, don't expect to game with it.

I think (and dont quote me on this) that the Athlon64's use about 90watts. Divide this by the number of volts it uses (dont know this off the top of my head, I think the XP's use 1.6) to find out the number of amps it draws.

I would ditch that 9600, and get an Nvidia 6600 GT. They are affordable, and offer great performance for today's games. It even beats the 9800 Pro.
