AMR and PCI modem

does anyone know the differences between AMR and PCI modem are?

From what I understand the AMR slot isn't something you want to use. The performance isn't very good, and I think it ends up blocking a pci slot which is something you don't want to give up for a AMR card. Besides all of that, component availabiity for that slot isn't very good. It might get better in the future though...

Buy a pci modem

BTW, this is only what I have heard. I have no personal experience with it.
