News An Arrow Lake refresh may still be on the cards with only K and KF models, claims leaker

It'll be interesting to see what materializes here because it doesn't sound like the leakers know exactly what is changing now. I have a hard time believing there's enough frequency room if they're still using an N3 node and nothing else they would likely do would appeal to the enthusiast community. It's not impossible that they could make the compute tile on 18A, but I wouldn't bet on it either.

Cost for me to switch to AMD will include a new CPU block, so that is always a consideration. LGA1851 should work with my existing CPU block, and if they make a decent enough Core Ultra 7, I might pick one up.

Even now some of the Microcenter deals are decent. $500 for the 265K, Motherboard, and 32GB DDR5 6000.
Alternatively the 9700X with a similar set up is also $500, but B650 rather than Z890.

Might result in even further discounts on the Core 200 series. I got my 12700kf for $200 quite a while ago.
