[SOLVED] An i5 or an i3 laptop ?

Hello,

I am trying to decide between two laptops, the main difference between them is that one has an i5 and one has an i3. However, the one with i3 has a higher clock speed.
Could someone look at these two processors and tell me which one is better, pretty please?

i5 one you can turbo speed it to 3,9 GHz so that one is a good laptop i3 one is 3,4 GHz on turbo speed

The i5 appears to be a 8265U. The i3 is a 8130U. The i5 has the higher turbo speed, plus 2 additional cores. Get the i5.

I'm not familiar with the turbo speed technology. Is that something that happens often? Also, it should be mentioned that the main use of the laptop is for student purposes (browsing the web, writing down notes, etc...)

The turbo increases the frequency on of the primary core to the turbo speed when its needed. It depends on the workload, but it's there when you need it.

I wouldn't consider a 2 core processor in 2019. All of the 8th and 9th generation Intel i3's are now 4 cores.

Wise choice. The I5 is a much faster CPU overall, and with 8 threads it should power through most tasks. A 2 core CPU is much lower end and shouldn't be considered for a modern pc unless the price is incredibly low.

Yes, they both have UHD gfx 620, but it is clocked 100mhz faster on the I5.
