Hi all. I've e-mailed this message to Phillipe who was doing the last CRT 21" and 22" monitor review and i'm now posting it here to hear oppinions from forum members also. This is the message.
"I would like to hear an opinion from you on the Belinea 108080 monitor. It uses the Mitsubishi Diamondtron NF tube so it should be fine in that respect. I’m thinking of how much difference can it be with the different manufacturers of monitors, when they are based on the same tube. That’s because I’ve read your article “Comparison: Seven 21" and 22" CRT Monitors” where Diamondtron NF tube based monitors were the best performers, but the manufacturers (NEC and Mitsubishi) are much more reliable than Belinea I think. So, how big is the risk when purchasing the Belinea monitor especially when there is only one year warranty because the monitor is on some special discount at the moment. The price is 520$ + VAT. Before considering the price I must tell you that I live in Macedonia, Eastern Europe, and the prices here are rather high compared to other European countries so this is really low price for this region in my oppinion. As an example the 19” Philips 109B20 monitor costs 320$ + VAT, the 109P40 costs 446$ + VAT, the Philips 202P40 costs 815$ + VAT and so on, and that’s at one of the biggest computer stores here where you can probably find the lowest prices. So what is your opinion on the matter? Should I buy this monitor or not? I can probably go for the Philips 109P40 also and it has 3 years warranty. I will use the monitor for watching DVDs and playing games mostly, and I’m using it in the living room, so probably a TV tuner will fit well also."
All your oppinions are important because i have to make the decision fast before someone else buys the monitor because it's the only sample left as i have aknowledged some 10 minutes ago.

Most things I have read about 22" monitors is marketing hype. Meaning you do not get really any more screen space by buying a 22" monitor. You are better off getting a 21". I do not think a Diamond tube 21" is really any bigger then a 22"

No clue on a Belinea, NEC makes nice monitors. A 19" would be a nice option too. You could buy a 19" monitor and a nice TV for that price.

I have bought the monitor and i got a 3 years warranty:). I must say that i'm preatty satisfied with it for using it for this short period of time. I mean, right now i'm having 4 IE screens open on the screen (split screen), because on 1600x1200@85Hz you can really do this and you get 4 800x600 windows which is not bad as most of the sites are optimized for 800x600 resolution. Anyway thanks for your reply and UP THE IRONS!!! (if that's where your signature came from)
