So, I've been browsing around the web, primarily cray.com. I have hopes of getting an internship at the local lab in my city (but that doesn't really matter). Cray offers three types of rackmount products: Computing, Storage, and Analytics. I'm wondering what separates Computing and Analytical computers?

Did you look at the data sheets for the Analytics? The XA is a prebuilt/preconfigured system for Hadoop. Same thing with the GD product. Prebuild/preconfigured for a specific analysis task. The Analytics platforms include compute, storage and I/O all pre-tailored. The compute platforms are more generic and more configurable.
