Hey, GW, wanna trade cards?
Surprised that the GF4 beats the R9600P (yes I know it's DX8 vs 9). It's amazing how well it does compared to the FX5900U. Seriously the GF4ti's are looking to be a really great investment for those who chose that route over the FX5200/5600s.
I'm sure you're kinda happy. Not bad.
I'm also surprised at the R9200 (slower than your old R8500LE IIRC) beating the FX5600.
Also note that sometimes the R9600P beats the R9700P (see THAT Eden? ) I'd like to see the R9500P v. R9600P.
I would love to now see a review that put the R9000P v R9100 v R9200 v FX5200. I think that would cover that segment pretty well (also add the GF4MX I guess).
Good read, a little bit of repeat of the Tech Report article and a bit of new stuff. I'd like to just see those DET 50s and also see the A64, and also a 3200XP vs P4 3.06 vs P4 3.0 (200/800FSB).
Nice start, Thanks GW!
EDIT: And I like Anand's final words (final sentence). Like I said I think this will push the NV40 to market alot faster than previously thought/expected/planned. And that may be a good thing for us all (if it's a finsihed product). And THAT may push the R420 and RV380 to market sooner too (one can only hope on all counts). Yes indeed things sure are heating up!
