Hi There (again)

Anathema states ; If the vampire with this card is reduced to zero blood
in combat, he or she is burned, and the Methuselah controlling the
opposing minion gains pool equal to the burned vampire's capacity

What happens when you bums rush the anathema and he/she has no blood at
the beginning of combat. Does the anathema rule work seeing that they
are already at zero?

Thanks (again)

AFAIK Anathema does not trigger since the minion is not REDUCED to 0
blood. That's the key statement. If the vampire is REDUCED to 0 blood
in combat.

He'll go to torpor with Anathema on him (if you torpor him). If they
leave the vampire in torpor then the Anathema will never be claimed.

No. If you are playing with Anathema's and it seems a common strategy
of the other players to keep their vamps on 0 blood, then I'd suggest a
couple life in the city. It's a trifle, can be used on your own vamps
or across table, they've got no say in it without a suddens, bleeding
the vine or reversal of time, so maybe 2 or 3 should be slid into the
deck.
