Question Ancient Hardware GPU Audio Interface Issue

Hello All! Im new here. I built a pc back in 2011 with an AMD Phenom II x6 1090T, an Asus M4A88T-V Evo motherboard with PCIe 2.0 x16 and 8GB DDR3 RAM, and a firewire Mbox Pro 3 audio interface running on a PCIe 1.0 slot all powered by a Corsair CX 600 watt psu... which I think is plenty

So the sound was working fine until i added a Radeon HD 7950 GPU which is PCIe 3.0 GDDR5 Now anytime I use FL Studio and resize the song window with the mouse wheel while the screen is re-drawing everything to suite my adjustments the sound bottlenecks and craps out. I took the gpu out and the sound works fine.

What am i doing wrong here?

Thanks for your help! :)
