Ancient PSU + new graphics card?

Hi I'm building my first pc and am going with 50:50 on second-hand and new parts.
Here are some items I don't believe are compatible:

400w Super power DR 8400BTX (ancient)
Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 (newish)
Intel Core 2 duo E8400? (newish)
Asus P5G41T-M LX (brand new)

My main problem is that the graphics card doesn't have any accessories with it because it's used.
The graphics card says on the manufacturer's website that your PSU needs a 6-pin but my PSU
doesn't have one and I don't know which two pins go from the PSU to the 4-6 pin power adapter.
Also I am on a tight budget and have only got enough money to buy cables etc.
Here is a Power Supply with similar connectors:

I would still recommend a new power supply.
You take your system's life into your own hands using an old power supply as you do not know how much more mileage it will give you before something "pops". And usually when they "pop" it's quite spectacular.
