Where can I get my hands on a free copy of Android 6.0? I'm going to try to install real Android onto my 5th gen fire, so I can use it as a normal device. Please give a link if possible.

why you looking for 6.0 when 7 and 8.1 are out ?

google download android and you will follow links, of course you would have to register as a developer but eh... no cost so...

You need it to be customized to the device. You can't just DL android and stick it on, that won't work.
Google something like "Fire Stick Stock android rom" or similar. I suspect you'll be hunting around XDA-Developers for the most part.
