Question Android app to control watching media on Xbox One

My son wants to buy a ROKU instead of using his Xbox One to watch media. Controllers not working very well, using batteries too often, on tge old side, etc.

Is there an easier way. An android app?

i use the android roku app to run my roku device. free, easy to use and controls the roku's total features

also enables voice control if desired and if you plug in headphones, it outputs the audio to the phone and mutes the tv. pretty handy at times.
