I've encountered this before in other browsers but never identified it. I'm test driving Firefox but am hesitant to switch for reason below.

Device: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
OS: Android 14 (OneUI 6.0)
Browser: Firefox Beta (and Stable)
Keyboard: Swift and GBoard

When I'm typing in a text box, like Google Reviews, Disqus or even forums, during longer posts (sometimes immediately), the cursor jumps all over the place and I can't type properly or even highlight to fix or copy and paste what I wrote. Anyone know the cause and/or fix?

Right after I typed that it started twitching like it's about to start messing up.

You may be able to discover what the computer is doing or trying to do when the cursor starts jumping.

Try using Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Process Monitor to do so.

Use all three tools but only one tool at a time.

Boot your system, open one of the tools, and simply watch for a few minutes. At least until the system is stable and just idling.

Then, leaving the tool window and viewable, open one of the browsers most likely to experience the jumping problem.

Again just watch for a while.

After that, in the browser, open text box where the jumping commonly occurs. Watch more.

Lastly, start typying in the text box. Pay attention to what is changing in the tool window when the mouse starts jumping.

Objective being to discover some system change affecting the cursor behavior. Perhaps some background process launching or being launched via Task Scheduler.

Take your time. Most likely you will need a few experiments/attempts to get the method working.

Pay attention and watch for anything unknown or unexpected.

Do not give up too easily. Feel free to vary things a bit if and when it seems logical to do so.
