Hi,

Trying to move apps to my sd but selecting external sd, I get the message "not enough storage space". Formatted the sd and tried other SD's, have not cleared app cache

Edit: using S7 edge

Solution
I have a 8gb S4. After a certain version of android, apps and games can only be installed on the same drive as the OS system is.

There is a way to root the phone and move the os and files over to a sd card. You would have to pick a fast sd card. I never tried this and left my phone mostly stock. I read it can make the phone not as secure too.

I ended up mostly putting music, pics on the sd card. There is a option in the settings to move some stuff over to the sd card, most of the files remain on the phone's internal drive.
