I occasionally post in the above sub-section of the Smartphones and PDAs Forum and notice a large number of folks asking how to unlock their phones. There are lots of sites offering the software and it doesn't seem to be illegal but can the Mods please give an opinion on whether Tom's TOS allows this? If it does, could we have a Sticky?

If it helps, this site has the clear distinction between unlocking and unblocking, which we clearly would wish to assist. This may apply only in the UK, though.

Provided it is not illegal, this is something we are quite okay with.
